About Us

Music Together® Central Oregon

Formerly Music Together® with Generation IV Strings, Music Together Central Oregon (MTCO) got its start in 2018 with five families in a home music studio. The word spread about Ms. Aria’s fun and informative family music classes and class sizes continued to grow. Poised for expansion in 2020, the pandemic took a toll and Ms. Aria was forced to find a new way to keep the joy of music education in the homes of Central Oregon families. For a year and a half, Ms. Aria offered Live Zoom classes and pre-recorded material to continue doing her part to make the world a better place through children and music. Now in its seventh year, Music Together Central Oregon has had the honor of working with over 600 Central Oregon families! MTCO continues to work with the Deschutes County library to offer free Music Together® classes to the community and looks forward to expanding partnerships with local businesses to lift up the value of early child education.

As of the 23-24 school year, MTCO expanded to an additional NE Bend location right off the 97, added the Babies class, and welcomed Ms. Stephanie Brathwaite.

We actively seek out new teachers and local partnerships in Redmond, Sisters and Sunriver to provide families in those communities with a closer option. If you or anyone you know has an interest to join our enthusiastic team or would like to partner with us to host Music Together classes in your venue, please contact Center Director, Aria Hartley.

Teacher

Stephanie grew up with music as a constant in her life. When she and her husband started a family of their own, she was excited to share the joy of music with their kids too. After one lackluster term in another music program, Stephanie heard about the Music Together® program from a friend.

Stephanie and her children completed the entire cycle of music collections three years later and she is excited to now share that joy and discovery that the Music Together
® program offers with more families throughout Central Oregon. The years of participating in the Music Together program have been impactful to the whole Brathwaite family. Watching her own children grow their basic music competence has been a joy filled with constant surprises, making the Brathwaites forever a music making family.
